Agatberg Wild Camping
The Agatberg is a notable geological formation located in the northern part of Skeleton Coast National Park in Namibia. This region is famous for its rugged coastline, numerous shipwrecks, and the remains of whales and seals.
The Agatberg primarily consists of volcanic rock and is known for its unique geological structures. Nearby, the salt pans of the Agate Mountains add to the area's geological significance.
Despite the harsh environment, the area around Agatberg supports a variety of desert-adapted wildlife, like Oryx and other antelope species. These animals have developed remarkable adaptations to survive in such an extreme landscape.
