At the Windhoek International Airport you will be met by a Representative of the Car Hire Company that will welcome you and take you directly to the Car hire company in Windhoek.  At the Car Hire Company, you will be met by a Meine Namibia Safaris Representative and they will assist you with the procedure of receiving your vehicle. Thereafter, the representative will discuss your Tour in detail with you. Once all has been discussed, you will have the opportunity to purchase a few things for your tour at a local supermarket and head to your Guesthouse, where you can relax and enjoy the afternoon at own leisure.

Today the gravel roads continue through the great Damaraland. On route there is always a possibility of wildlife sightings such as Elephants, giraffes, springboks, zebras and oryx. Today you will spend the whole day on a self-drive basis safari in the Etosha National Park. It is best to leave right after breakfast, as it will be a very slow day passing through the western side of the Etosha National Park. Depending on the season there can be quite a lot going on and you find yourself in the middle of hundreds of springboks, zebras and elephants and other inhabitants of this huge National park.

Today you have another opportunity to observe animals in Etosha Park. You will drive through the Andersson Gate again. From Okaukuejo you will pass along the southern edge of the salt pan. This area is very popular with the animals and through the sparse vegetation you have the opportunity to see the animals from afar. It is advised to have a snack or even a quick lunch at the Halali Resort on route. You will leave the park through the Namutoni Gate, which is very close to your next accommodation, the beautiful Onguma Bush Camp.

You will be travelling mostly on a tarred road to Okonjima Plains Camp. The afternoon in Okonjima invites you to take part in one of the many activities offered or to relax at the pool. The Okonjima Lodge is also the base camp of the AfriCat Foundation, where you are not only able to become more informed about the Human and Wildlife conflict in Southern Africa, but also have the opportunity to see some of the orphaned animals.

9.    Departure - After a good breakfast, you will drive back to Windhoek, where you will return your vehicle at the Car Hire. As per your flight times (in the late afternoon), the Car Rental Shuttle will escort you to the airport, from where you will start your journey home.

This tour is an example tour to give guests who were not yet in Namibia an idea of what their Namibian trip might look like. The tour can be customized as per requests based on interests, e.g. a mixed lodge / camping tour, a luxury lodge tour or even a pure camping tour can be planned out of it.
