Khowarib Lodge
Khowarib Lodge nestles on the banks of the Hoanib river in the magnificent Khowarib Gorge in the north west of Namibia. Canvas chalets project out from the riverbank on stilts over the riverbed providing unrivaled, shady views of the cliffs opposite. On the fringe of Kaokoland, the lodge offers a perfect kick-off point to explore the remote northwest of the country. The immediate surrounding area of Damaraland has many rich and exciting activities, including tracking the desert-adapted elephants and a visit to the local Himba settlements.
