The wild horses of Garub
The Namib Desert Horse is a rare feral horse found in the Namib Desert of Namibia. It is probably the only feral herd of horses residing in Africa, with a population ranging between 90 and 150.
The wild horses of Garub are located on the very barren eastern edge of the Namib Desert and have adapted to the harsh conditions and dry land that now meets all their needs. Research has found that the horses are a harmonious part of the desert ecosystem and found their home in Garub.
