Okonjima Nature Reserve
Halfway between the spectacular Etosha National Park and the capital Windhoek lies the well-known nature reserve Okonjima. The 22,000-hectare nature reserve is home to AfriCAT, a wildlife sanctuary that gives captured cats a second chance to be released back into the wild and become fully independent hunters in a protected area, in the midst of commercial cattle farming. Visitors can enjoy a stay in a variety of excellent accommodations, including everything from luxury villas to secluded campsites. Enjoy thrilling big cat-tracking safaris, leopard exploration, night drives and get to know the local San culture on the Bushmen's trail.
