Ugab Terraces
The Ugab was once a 450-kilometer-long river, which today only temporarily hosts water after a good rainy season. Millions of years ago, it created the approximately 80-kilometer-long Ugab Valley, which today is bordered by the plateau mountains, also called the Ugab Terraces.
The highest of the plateau mountains tower 160 meters high above the landscape.
