Windhoek and surroundings
The landscape of Windhoek is characterized by nature, dense bushes, rocky mountains and golden savannas. This area is well visited as it is close to the international airport and has some attractions. Just a few kilometers outside the city in a southerly direction, for example, in the middle of the mountains is the imposing "Heroes' Acre" - a monument erected in honor of the freedom fighters of Namibia. It feels a bit like being in a sci-fi movie when standing on the gigantic flagstone and looking up the stairs at the obelisk. Travelers can experience a diverse and richly varied program in Windhoek's surroundings.
